Quality control

The management of the factory believes that the key quality and safety priority is production of competitive and safe products complying with legal requirements and meeting consumer requirements and expectations, ensuring stable profits and improvement in the employees' well-being. 

In the course of production and supply of products to consumers, the compliance of sensory, physical, chemical, and safety characteristics with the applicable technical regulations is ensured by veterinary, sanitary, hygienic, and process control at all stages of the product life cycle, as well as by laboratory testing.

The premises of the factory's meat processing complex accommodate an accredited production laboratory (certificate of accreditation No. ВУ/112 2.2634 dated October 15, 2007 under STB ISO MEK 17025). The production laboratory is accredited for compliance with the requirements of STB ISO/MEK 17025 for engineering competence. The tests are conducted in accordance with the statutorily approved laboratory control schemes. Any tests for indicators not included in the production laboratory accreditation scope are conducted under contracts with external accredited laboratories: State Institution "Belarusian State Veterinary Centre", State Institution "Vitebsk Regional Centre for Hygiene, Epidemiology and Public Health", Republican Unitary Enterprise "Vitebsk Centre for Standardisation, Metrology, and Certification", Medical and Diagnostic Institution "Vitebsk Regional Veterinary Laboratory", etc.

The quality of supplied raw materials and auxiliary materials used in the production of food products is controlled by an incoming control specialist in accordance with the Incoming Control Scheme for Raw Materials and Auxiliary Materials from External Suppliers at Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Factory, JSC.

The veterinary service of the meat processing complex (department of industrial and veterinary control), on a day-to-day basis, implements organoleptic assessment of each products batch (veterinary and sanitary examination) at different stages of production. The process production parameters for poultry slaughter products, make-ahead semi-finished products, finished products are controlled by engineers and technologists of the process department at all production stages.

Quality management systems:

Today, in order to enhance its seamless operation and competitiveness, Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Factory, JSC is focused on modern trends in the development of the poultry and meat processing industries, applying state-of-the-art management methods. The implementation of management systems that ensure safe and competitive food production makes it possible for the enterprise to enter the international market, to increase consumer confidence, facilitates brand reinforcement and creation of a positive image of the enterprise.

The developed documents for QMS, HACCP, FSMS, OHSMS, and EMS are intellectual property of the enterprise.

All structural divisions of the enterprise’s meat processing complex implement HACCP principles.

- the food safety management system developed in accordance with the requirements of STB ISO 22000 in relation to the production of poultry slaughter products and semi-finished poultry meat products at the poultry slaughter and deep processing shop;

- quality management system developed in accordance with the requirements of STB ISO 9001 in relation to the breeding of young table breeders and hatching eggs production, breeding and growing broiler chickens, production of poultry slaughter products and poultry meat products, cattle slaughter products, and meat products, production of vegetable oils for industrial feeds production, and feeds production;

- Halal standard system in relation to the poultry slaughter products at the poultry and cattle products slaughter and deep processing shop and in relation to the natural semi-finished products at the cattle slaughter and processing section;

- environmental management system developed in accordance with the requirements of STB ISO 14001 in relation to broiler chicken breeding, production and sale of poultry slaughter products and processed poultry products, production and sale of cattle slaughter products and beef products;

 - occupational health and safety management system, developed in accordance with the requirements of STB ISO 45001 in relation to poultry breeding; veterinary activities; processing and ­preservation of poultry meat; meat processing and preservation; production of meat and poultry products; production of finished feed and feed additives for farm animals; restaurant business; wholesale trade in meat and meat products; retail trade in poultry and poultry products in specialised stores; retail trade of sausages and smoked meats in specialised stores; road freight transportation; other non-scheduled passenger transportation by road transport; repair of general and special purpose machinery and equipment; general construction of buildings; construction of other engineering structures not included in other groups; special construction work; electrical installation work, sawing, wood planing and impregnation; production of wooden building structures and joinery, except for prefabricated buildings; production of steel construction structures and their parts; water collection, treatment and distribution; steam generation and water heating, steam and hot water transmission, distribution, and sale; air conditioning; effluents collection and treatment.

The enterprise is certified for labelling chilled poultry meat, including boneless poultry meat, with the "Natural Product" label.

The enterprise has obtained certificates of compliance with Halal standards, including certificates for the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and other Gulf countries, in relation to production of poultry and cattle slaughter products and semi-finished natural beef products, including certificates for the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The enterprise is certified for in-house production of broiler fillet, boneless broiler chicken breast pieces, chilled and frozen broiler chicken thigh flesh.

The products quality is confirmed by the EAEU declarations of conformity (for processed food products) and veterinary certificates (for unprocessed food products).
